Another product from Vision's Edge, Inc., IndeXTension provides a quick and easy utility for creating simple indices in QuarkXPress.
Using hidden text technology in QuarkXPress, IndeXTension allows you to quickly "mark" words or phrases using a menu selection or keyboard command. You can generate index listings for general phrases which do not form part of the text, but are a general theme. Index markers can be turned off and on for convenience and accuracy of line endings.
The XTension then generates an index list which may be formatted with any combination of QuarkXPress character styles. You can automatically eliminate duplicate entries, and indices may be combined from multiple documents into one index.
